  • Helping and caring for their own compatriots in prison and monitoring court proceedings
  • Reporting of births, deaths, marriages that occurred abroad to home authorities
  • Issue of entry visas for foreigners
  • Informs about entry, residence or working regulations
  • Regulates the military situation of conscripts living abroad
